No. You can only add money to your Rupeezy account from a bank account linked to your Rupeezy trading account — SEBI regulations mandate this. It doesn't matter which method you use: UPI, Net Banking, or a bank transfer by IMPS, NEFT or RTGS are all rejected from an unlinked account the same way. See What are the different ways to add money to my Rupeezy account?
Does this apply to IMPS, NEFT and RTGS transfers too?
Yes. Whichever of the three you use, the transfer has to come from a bank account already linked to your Rupeezy account. Money sent from any other account isn't credited to your trading account — see Why are funds added through IMPS, NEFT or RTGS getting refunded to the source bank account?
Can I pay by cheque from an unlinked account instead?
No — cheque isn't a supported way to add money to Rupeezy at all, whether the account is linked or not. Use UPI, Net Banking, or a bank transfer by IMPS, NEFT or RTGS instead.
What if I have already sent money from an unlinked account?
If you have transferred funds from an unlinked bank account that isn't in your name, create a support ticket with a soft copy of your statement showing the debit transaction, along with:
- Account Name
- Account Number
- IFSC Code
- Bank Branch
