An average buy price of ₹0 in your Rupeezy holdings isn't a glitch — it means the shares you're left holding have no purchase trade behind them in Rupeezy's system. That happens in two situations: only zero-cost bonus shares remain after you sold your original lot, or the shares were transferred in from another demat account and the original buy price needs to be added on Dock.
I received bonus shares and sold part of my holding
Bonus shares are credited to your demat at no cost — there's no buy trade and no purchase price attached to them. When you sell, the sale is matched against your original purchased lot first. So if you've sold that entire original quantity, what's left in your holdings is only the bonus shares — and since they cost you nothing, the average buy price correctly shows 0.

I transferred these shares from another demat account
Shares that came in through an off-market transfer from another broker or demat account arrive without a buy trade in Rupeezy's system — Rupeezy knows the quantity, but not what you originally paid. With that trade missing, the app can't compute an average price and shows 0.
The fix: log in to Dock, Rupeezy's back-office portal, and add the original purchase price for the transferred shares. Once the price is saved, your holdings show the correct average buy price and P&L.
Does a 0 average price affect my P&L?
Yes — with a cost of 0, the app treats the entire current value of those shares as profit, so your P&L on that stock looks inflated. For transferred shares, adding the buy price on Dock corrects it. For a holding that's genuinely down to only bonus shares, the P&L is real: those shares didn't cost you anything.
Things to keep in mind
- While a bonus or split is still being credited, average price and P&L can look wrong temporarily and self-correct once all units arrive — that's a different, short-lived situation.
- The average buy price shown in the app is a display figure, not your tax record — for capital gains, use the tax P&L report on Dock.
