The Rupeezy app needs your phone to have a screen lock — a biometric (fingerprint or face) or a PIN, pattern, or password. If your device has no lock set up, app login is disabled until you add one. It's a security requirement, so your trading account can't be opened on a phone that anyone can pick up and use.
Why does Rupeezy need a device lock?
Rupeezy's login and its in-app security checks — your MPIN, and the biometric re-lock when you return to the app after leaving it in the background — all rely on your phone's own lock. If your device has no lock at all, those protections can't work, so Rupeezy blocks login until you set one up.
What do I do if login is disabled?
Set a screen lock on your phone, then open Rupeezy and log in again. See How to enable device lock on mobile? for the steps on Android and iPhone.
Once your phone has a lock, you log in as usual — registered mobile number, an OTP (or TOTP), and your MPIN.
Things to keep in mind
- The same device lock powers the app re-lock when you switch away and come back.
- Rupeezy relies on your phone's own lock — it can't set one for you, and support can't turn this requirement off. If you're stuck, use your phone maker's own support to set up a screen lock.
- For the same security reasons, the app also won't run on a rooted or jailbroken device — see Does the Rupeezy app work on rooted or jailbroken devices?.
