No — there's nothing to set up. Two-factor authentication (2FA) is already on for every Rupeezy login, including Rupeezy web; it's a SEBI requirement, not a setting you switch on. By default your second factor is an OTP sent to you, and if you've set up TOTP, that's used instead. It works the same on the Rupeezy app, Rupeezy web, Dock and the TV terminal.
Is 2FA already on when I log in to Rupeezy web?
Yes. Every login needs your registered mobile number plus a second factor. If you haven't set up TOTP, Rupeezy sends you an OTP (by SMS or email) as that second factor — there's nothing to configure. 2FA itself can't be switched off; it's mandated by SEBI.
Can I make my web login stronger with TOTP?
Yes. TOTP — a 6-digit code from an authenticator app that refreshes every 30 seconds — is an optional, stronger alternative to an SMS/email OTP. You set it up once and it covers every surface, web included; there's nothing separate to enable for the web login. Things to keep in mind
- 2FA is mandatory and can't be turned off — what you're choosing is TOTP vs. an SMS/email OTP as your second factor, not whether you use one at all.
- Never share your OTP, TOTP code, or setup key/QR code with anyone claiming to be Rupeezy support — support will never ask for it.
