The Floating Position feature allows you to monitor and take action on your positions directly from the chart screen. This feature simplifies trading by integrating key functionalities into the chart interface.
How to Use Floating Positions
Open the chart for any scrip (stock or index).
Once the chart is open, you will see tabs for Positions, Orders, and Option Chain.
Drag the bottom sheet up to view your positions, orders, and option chain for the scrip displayed on the chart.
What You Can Do with Floating Positions
Square off positions :
Square Off All: Close all your positions at once by tapping on “Square Off All” button. You can also set preferences to only square off specific positions matching your criteria. To set preference tap on “Edit Preference”.
Single Square Off: Tap a single position, you will have options of Market and Limit orders.
Market Square Off: Tap on the position, select "Market," and tap "Square Off" The position will be closed at the market price.
Limit Square Off: Tap on the position, select "Limit," and tap "Square Off". You will see an order screen where you can set the limit price for closing the position.
Add Target/StopLoss :
Add Target/StopLoss: Set target and stop loss prices for your position. Tap on the position, select "GTT," and tap "Square Off." You will see a GTT order screen to enter your target and stop loss prices.
Cancel Orders :
Cancel All Orders: Cancel all pending orders at once. Tap the "Cancel All" button to cancel all pending orders.
Cancel Single Order: Cancel a single order by tapping on it and then tapping the "Cancel" button.
Modify Orders :
Modify Order: Change the details of an order by tapping on it and then tapping the "Modify" button. You will see a screen to update the order details.
Option Chain :
Option Chain: The Option Chain tab shows the option chain for the underlying scrip. Tap the index/scrip of your choice from the header and view the option chain for the selected index/scrip.
By using the Floating Position feature, you can efficiently manage your trades and monitor your positions directly from the chart screen, making your trading experience more seamless and integrated.
