A quick way to invest in mutual funds with no lock-in on Rupeezy is to put a lumpsum into one of the ready-made baskets in MF Lab, such as Growth. Most open-ended funds have no lock-in period, so you can redeem your money whenever you want — unlike a tax-saver ELSS fund, which locks it in for 3 years. A basket's funds can change, so check the list on its Analysis screen before you invest.
How do I invest in the Growth basket as a lumpsum?

1. Open MF Lab — in the Mutual Funds section of the app, tap MF Lab in the bottom bar.
2. Pick the Growth basket — under Rupeezy Suggested Baskets, find Growth and tap View Analysis. The Analysis screen shows the funds in the basket and their allocation, along with a returns calculator you can play with.
3. Tap Invest Now — at the bottom of the Analysis screen, tap Invest Now.
4. Choose Lumpsum — in the Start Investing sheet, select Lumpsum (One Time), then tap Continue. (Pick SIP instead if you'd rather invest monthly through a SIP.)
5. Enter your amount — on the One Time Investment screen, set your Basket Amount. Type it in, use the + / − buttons, or tap a 2x / 4x / 8x / 16x quick multiplier. Then tap Invest ₹… and complete the payment through UPI or net banking.
Your investment is split across the funds in the basket according to their allocation. Your units show in your portfolio once each fund's registrar (RTA) allots them.
What does "no lock-in" mean?
A lock-in period is the time during which you cannot redeem an investment. Most open-ended mutual funds have no lock-in, so you're free to sell your units and get your money back at any time. Only certain categories lock your money in — for example, ELSS tax-saver funds (3 years) and retirement funds (5 years).
As long as none of the funds in your basket has a lock-in, you can redeem all or part of your investment whenever you need it.
Can I invest in other baskets the same way?
Yes. Every basket under Rupeezy Suggested Baskets in MF Lab follows the same steps — open the basket, tap View Analysis, then Invest Now. You can also build and analyse your own basket in MF Lab before you invest.
