An Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT) works like a mutual fund for infrastructure projects — it pools money from investors and invests it in infrastructure assets such as roads and highways, and you earn returns through dividends and capital appreciation. On Rupeezy, you apply for an InvIT IPO the same way as any other IPO, using UPI.
What is an InvIT?
An InvIT is a trust that owns and operates income-generating infrastructure assets — for example, a portfolio of roads or highways. When you invest in an InvIT's units, you're pooling your money alongside other investors, and the trust passes on the returns it earns from those assets back to you as dividends and capital appreciation, similar to how a mutual fund passes on returns from its underlying holdings.
How do I apply for an InvIT IPO on Rupeezy?
InvIT IPOs appear in the same IPOs section on Rupeezy as regular company IPOs — there's no separate tag distinguishing an InvIT issue from any other IPO. Open Products > IPOs, find the InvIT issue under the Active (or Upcoming) tab, and apply exactly the way you would for any other IPO: tap Apply, enter your investor category, price and lot count, and approve the UPI mandate.
See How do I apply for an IPO? for the full step-by-step.
Can I revise my InvIT IPO bid?
You can revise an InvIT bid upward, but not downward. For example, an application of ₹30,000 can be modified to ₹40,000, but it cannot be reduced to ₹25,000.
Things to keep in mind
- InvIT units are usually listed with a much higher minimum investment than a typical mainboard equity IPO — check the Min. Investment figure on the IPO card before applying.
- Modifying, cancelling and checking allotment status otherwise follow the same flow as any other IPO application on Rupeezy, except for the upward-only bid revision above.
