What can I do with the Rupeezy MCP server?
Ask your AI assistant, in everyday language, to:
- Manage GTT orders — place, modify, or cancel your GTT (Good Till Triggered) orders.
- Cancel a pending order — cancel an order you've already placed.
- Check your portfolio — holdings, open positions, and available funds.
- Review your activity — your order book and trade book.
- Get market data — live quotes, historical price data, and a search for any instrument.
- View your mutual funds — MF holdings, fund details, your SIPs (recurring plans), and your purchase and redemption orders.
Can it place buy/sell or mutual fund orders for me?
No. The MCP server can place, modify, and cancel GTT orders and cancel a pending order, but it can't place a regular market or limit buy/sell order, and can't place mutual fund orders (a purchase, redemption, or SIP). Place those yourself in the Rupeezy app — the MCP server is mainly for viewing your account and managing GTT orders.
Which AI apps can I use it with?
Any app that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP) — for example Claude Desktop, Claude.ai, and VS Code. Some apps need a paid plan to add a custom MCP server.
Will the AI act on my account without asking me?
No — your AI app asks you to approve an action before it runs, so anything that places or cancels a GTT order, or cancels a pending order, needs your go-ahead. Read what the assistant is about to do before you approve it.
What data can it access?
Only your own Rupeezy account data needed to answer you — holdings, positions, funds, orders, trades, live quotes, and mutual fund details. Your AI app sends Rupeezy only the specific requests it needs, not your whole conversation, and the connection can't reach anything outside your account.
Is it secure, and how do I disconnect it?
You connect through a secure sign-in that you approve once, and you can revoke that access anytime from your AI app's connector or settings. Treat it like any account access — only connect apps you trust, and disconnect ones you no longer use.
Does it cost anything?
Rupeezy doesn't charge a separate fee to use the MCP server. Your AI app, though, may need its own paid plan.
Is the MCP server the same as the Trading API?
No. The MCP server lets an AI assistant work with your account in plain language. The Trading (Vortex) API is for building your own programs against Rupeezy — see How do I register for the Trading API (Vortex)?.
Can I use it for fully automated or algo trading?
The MCP server is built for AI-assisted use, where you stay in the loop and approve actions — not for unattended automation. For programmatic, automated strategies, use the Trading (Vortex) API instead.
