Kill Switch

The Kill Switch feature allows you to deactivate trading in specific segments without impacting your ability to trade in others. For example, you can deactivate the NSE_FO segment to prevent over-trading or to take a break from trading, while continuing to trade in other segments.

This is distinct from account freezing ( Learn More), which halts trading across all segments. If you wish to freeze your entire account, contact support at 0755-4268599 or write to stoptrade@rupeezy.in.

How to Use Kill Switch on the Rupeezy App:

  1. Go to the Settings screen from the Profile section.
  2. Tap on "Kill Switch."
  3. Activate or deactivate the segment of your choice.
  4. Tap the "Continue" button.
  5. Check the changes and tap the “Confirm” button.

How to Use Kill Switch on Dock:

If you are using Aero/TvTerminal and don’t have access to the Rupeezy mobile app, you can deactivate segments using Dock.

  1. Visit https://dock.rupeezy.in/profile/segment-mtf and log in.
  2. You should be directed to the Segment and MTF section. If not, manually navigate to the Segment and MTF section.
  3. Activate or deactivate the segment of your choice.
  4. Tap the "Continue" button.
  5. Check the changes and tap the “Confirm” button.

Preconditions for Using Kill Switch:

  • You should not have any open positions in the segment you wish to deactivate, except for Equity delivery. For example, if you want to deactivate the NSE_FO segment, ensure you have no Intraday or Carryforward positions. If deactivating the NSE_EQ segment, ensure there are no Intraday, MTF, or Intraweek positions. Only in case you have equity delivery positions NSE_EQ can still be deactivated.
  • There should be no open orders in that segment, except for GTT orders.
  • You should not have any Iceberg orders.

Important Notes:

  • Once a segment is deactivated, it can only be reactivated after 8 hours or by contacting support. However, a segment can be deactivated at any time after activation.
  • Deactivating a segment is not the same as closing your account; you will still be charged AMC (if applicable).
  • Deactivating a segment is different from freezing your account. When your account is frozen, you cannot activate or deactivate segments. To freeze or unfreeze your account, please contact us at stoptrade@rupeezy.in or call our support number at 0755-4268599.
