Automated Manual Trading (AMT) orders link an alert to a basket of orders. When the alert's condition is met, Rupeezy places every order in the basket automatically. You choose both the alert and the orders, so you always know exactly what will be placed.
For example, say you want to enter a bull call spread if Bank Nifty crosses 48,500. Put the two option orders in a basket called "Bull Call Basket", create an alert for Bank Nifty's LTP being at or above 48,500, and link the two. When Bank Nifty crosses 48,500, both orders are placed for you.
How is AMT different from GTT, stop-loss orders and algos?
- GTT and stop-loss orders trigger on the price of the same instrument you're trading. With AMT, the alert can be on one instrument and the orders on others — for example, an alert on Bank Nifty that places orders in SBIN, HDFC Bank and a Bank Nifty option.
- Algos decide at the time which orders to place — "sell the ATM call and put at 9:30", where you don't know in advance which strike that will be. AMT isn't an algo: you set the exact orders in the basket beforehand.
How do I set up an AMT order?
You can start from the basket or from the alert.
From a basket
- On the Home screen, scroll to the Tools section and tap Basket Order. Open a basket, or create one and add the orders you want placed.
- Tap Add Trigger at the top right of the basket.
- Select an existing alert, or tap New Trigger to create one, then tap Add Trigger to confirm.
You'll see "Alert on Basket created successfully". The basket's button now reads Modify Trigger, and its main button reads Execute on Trigger.
From an alert
- On the Home screen, scroll to the Tools section, tap Set Alerts, then tap Create Alert — or open an existing alert.
- Set the alert's condition.
- Tap Add Basket and choose the basket.
- Tap Create Alert, or Save Edit for an existing alert.

How do I change the alert or the basket?
- From the basket: tap Modify Trigger and select a different alert. To change an alert's condition, tap the edit icon next to it, make your change and tap Save Edit. Delete Trigger deletes the alert itself.
- From the alert: open it from All Alerts and tap Modify Basket. The basket list opens with the linked basket selected — choose a different basket, or tap Remove Basket to unlink it. The alert itself stays. Then tap Save Edit.
Does Market Price Protection apply to AMT orders?
Yes. When your alert triggers and fires the basket, any Market order in that basket gets the same Market Price Protection (MPP) as a regular market order — Rupeezy still caps it to a dynamic protection-price range instead of letting it fill at an unprotected price. Things to keep in mind
- Margin isn't blocked when you set up the basket. It's checked when the orders are sent, so keep enough margin, or the positions you're exiting, for the orders to go through.
- As with other smart orders like GTT and Iceberg, execution isn't guaranteed, and there can be slippage from the delay between the alert and the orders.
- Each order in the basket is a separate order, so brokerage is charged per order.
