How do I invest to reach ₹1 crore with mutual funds on Rupeezy?

To plan for a ₹1 crore target on Rupeezy, create a Custom goal in Goals, set the amount to ₹1,00,00,000, and pick how long you want to take. Rupeezy then suggests a monthly SIP — with an optional lumpsum today — sized to aim for that target. The suggested amount is an estimate based on assumed returns; it is not a guarantee, and mutual funds carry market risk.

How do I set up a ₹1 crore goal?

Setting up a ₹1 crore Custom goal in Goals on the Rupeezy app

1. Open Goals and tap Custom — go to Goals, then tap the Custom card ("Invest in your goal").

2. Set the goal amount to ₹1 crore — in the Goal Amount field, enter 1,00,00,000. Use the quick-add chips (+₹2,000, +₹5,000, and so on) to fine-tune if you like.

3. Choose a timeline — under Goal Completion Time, pick 1, 3, 5, or 10 years, or a Custom date. A longer timeline means a smaller monthly SIP for the same target.

4. Add a lumpsum today (optional) — enter an amount under Lumpsum Investment Today if you want to start with a one-time investment. Leave it blank to invest only through the SIP.

5. Tap Continue.

6. Pick your pace — on the Suggested Monthly SIP screen, choose a pace at the top: Safe Path, Steady Move (marked Suggested), or Growth Booster. Each shows the monthly SIP, the estimated corpus, and a growth projection for your ₹1 crore target. Growth Booster is the most aggressive pace.

7. Tap Invest — pay any upfront lumpsum through your linked bank account and start the SIP. Your goal is created and tracks your progress toward ₹1 crore.

How much do I need to invest each month?

It depends on your timeline and the pace you choose — Rupeezy calculates the suggested SIP for you, so there's no formula to work out by hand. Two things lower the monthly amount:

  • A longer timeline — spreading the same target over more years means a smaller monthly SIP.
  • An upfront lumpsum — investing a one-time amount today reduces how much you need to put in each month.

The estimated corpus and returns shown on the Suggested Monthly SIP screen are projections based on assumed rates of return — your actual result depends on how the market performs, and is not guaranteed.

Can I invest a lumpsum instead of a SIP?

Yes. After you set the goal up, you can cancel the SIP and keep just the lumpsum you invested — effectively using the goal as a one-time investment. That said, a SIP is the recommended way to work toward a large target: investing a fixed amount every month spreads your cost over time and builds the habit, instead of relying on a single large payment. You can also set up an automatic step-up SIP to raise your contribution each year.
