Why is there a delay in receiving my IPO mandate on my UPI app?

A delay in your IPO mandate showing up on your UPI app usually comes from processing time on your bank's side and the UPI network syncing the request — not from a problem with your application on Rupeezy. Give it some time before assuming something's wrong.

Why does the mandate take time to reach my UPI app?

Once you place your bid, Rupeezy sends your application to your bank, which then generates a UPI collect request for the blocked amount — this is the mandate-approval step described in How do I apply for an IPO?. That request has to travel from your bank through the UPI network before it appears in your UPI app — and both of these steps, your bank generating the request and the UPI network delivering it, can take some time. Neither step happens on Rupeezy's side, so there's nothing on the app itself that shows this delay in progress.

What should I do if I don't see the mandate yet?

  • Check your UPI app directly — Google Pay, PhonePe, ICICI iMobile, BHIM, or whichever app you applied with. See "How do I find and accept my IPO mandate on Google Pay, PhonePe, or another UPI app?" for exactly where to look in each app.
  • Give it some time rather than assuming the application failed. This is normal processing time, not an error.
  • Watch the bidding window. Whenever the mandate does arrive, you still need to authorize it before the window closes for your bid to go through.

Things to keep in mind

  • This is different from the mandate delay that specifically affects HNI applications because of their larger bid size — see "What are the reasons for HNI IPO application failure?"
  • It's also different from your mandate status merely looking stuck on Rupeezy after you've already approved it — that's a display sync issue, not a delay in the mandate itself reaching you. See "Why is the IPO mandate status not updated on Rupeezy?"
