Why is there a delay in receiving my IPO mandate on my UPI app?

A delay in your IPO mandate reaching your UPI app usually comes from processing time at the exchange's sponsor bank and the UPI network delivering the request — not from a problem with your application on Rupeezy. Give it some time before assuming something's wrong.

Why does the mandate take time to reach my UPI app?

Once you place your bid, Rupeezy sends it to the exchange. The exchange's sponsor bank (not your own bank) then sends the mandate request for the bid amount over UPI to your UPI app — this is the mandate-approval step described in How do I apply for an IPO?. Both steps, the sponsor bank raising the request and the UPI network delivering it, can take some time. Neither happens on Rupeezy's side, so there's nothing in the app that shows this delay in progress.

What should I do if I don't see the mandate yet?

  • Check your UPI app directly — Google Pay, PhonePe, ICICI iMobile, BHIM, or whichever app you applied with. See How do I find and accept my IPO mandate on my UPI app? for where to look, with Google Pay as the example.
  • Give it some time rather than assuming the application failed. This is normal processing time, not an error.
  • Watch the bidding window. Whenever the mandate does arrive, you still need to authorize it before the window closes for your bid to go through.
