Why is the IPO mandate status not updated on Rupeezy?

Your IPO mandate status on Rupeezy can take a while to update because of delays on the exchange's side, not because your application has a problem. As long as your bank has blocked the funds against your bid, the Registrar and Transfer Agent (RTA) considers your application valid for allotment — even if the status shown on Rupeezy hasn't caught up yet.

Why does the status look stuck?

Your mandate status on IPOs > Applied reflects updates that flow back from the exchange, so there can be a delay between your bank approving the mandate and Rupeezy showing that update. This delay doesn't affect your application itself — what matters for allotment is whether your bank has actually blocked the bid amount against your application, which the RTA can see independently of what Rupeezy's status field displays at any given moment.

What should I check?

  • Check your UPI app or bank to confirm the mandate was approved and the funds are blocked — that's the state that actually determines your application's validity.
  • Give it some time before assuming something's wrong — the status on Rupeezy syncs with a delay, it isn't instant.

See How do I apply for an IPO? for the full mandate-approval step.

If you cancel and re-apply

If you cancel your bid and place a fresh one, make sure the reference number on your new application matches the UPI mandate request before you accept it in your UPI app. Accepting a mandate whose reference number belongs to a different (for example, your old, cancelled) application can leave your new bid unfunded even though you approved a mandate. See "How to cancel or withdraw an IPO application?" for the cancel flow itself.
