UPI-ASBA for IPO applications isn't limited to a specific handful of apps or banks — it works with virtually every major UPI app and every bank that supports UPI, because NPCI runs and maintains this facility for the entire industry, not any individual broker.
Why isn't this a Rupeezy-specific list?
UPI-ASBA is a payments network facility operated by NPCI, not something Rupeezy configures or restricts. On the IPO application form, you enter a UPI ID, and as long as it's linked to a bank account that NPCI has enabled for UPI-ASBA, it works — the same way it would on any other broker's app, since none of us control this list. See "Can I apply for an IPO without using UPI?" for why UPI-ASBA is the only route in the first place.
What if my UPI ID doesn't work?
NPCI periodically updates which apps and banks are live on UPI-ASBA, so on the rare occasion a UPI ID doesn't validate on the application form:
- Double-check you've typed the UPI ID correctly against your UPI app itself, rather than from memory.
- Try a UPI ID linked to a different bank account or a different UPI app, if you have one.
- If it still doesn't work, check with your bank directly — not every account or branch may have UPI-ASBA enabled yet, even if the bank generally supports it elsewhere.
Things to keep in mind
- This works the same way on every broker, not just Rupeezy — UPI-ASBA support depends on your bank and UPI app, not which stockbroker you're applying through.
- A UPI ID that worked for a past IPO application should keep working, since it depends on your bank's UPI-ASBA status rather than anything IPO-specific.
