What is the mutual funds platform on Rupeezy?

Mutual funds on Rupeezy are a built-in part of the same Rupeezy app you already trade on — there is no separate app, login, or account to set up. Tap the Invest tab to search funds, invest through a lump sum or a SIP, track your holdings, analyze your portfolio, and even run what-if scenarios before you invest, all without leaving Rupeezy.

What can I do on Rupeezy's mutual funds platform?

Tapping Invest in the bottom bar opens four sections:

  • Home — your mutual fund dashboard: a summary of your holdings, your active SIPs, and any goals you have set up.
  • Explore — search a fund or fund house by name, then narrow the results by category, AMC, risk level, fund size, minimum investment, and Rupeezy rating. Sort by 3-year returns, 3-year risk, or expense ratio, browse NFOs, and bookmark funds to a watchlist to compare later.
  • MF Lab — build a virtual basket of multiple funds and analyze its risk, diversification, maximum drawdown, and historical performance, and compare it against benchmarks like the Nifty 50, all before you put real money in.
  • Portfolio — track your holdings, see a NAV performance graph for each fund over 3 months to 10 years, drill into a fund's folio-level detail, and look up your transaction history.

How do I actually invest and manage what I hold?

From a fund's details page — reached through Explore, a search result, or your Portfolio — you can:

  • Place a lump sum order, a one-time purchase at that day's NAV.
  • Start a SIP, and set up AutoPay so the instalment is auto-debited from your bank account each month instead of you paying manually.
  • Redeem or sell units you already hold, in full or in part.
  • Invest toward a specific target through Goals — Rupeezy suggests a fund basket and a monthly SIP for it and tracks your progress separately from the rest of your holdings. See What is Goals on Rupeezy?

Is Rupeezy itself a mutual fund company?

No. Rupeezy is a Mutual Fund Distributor (MFD). When you place an order, Rupeezy routes your purchase or redemption to the fund house through BSE — Rupeezy does not manage the funds itself. It gives you one place to search, invest in, track, and analyze mutual funds alongside your trading account.

Do I need a separate login or account for mutual funds?

No. Mutual funds use the same Rupeezy login as your trading account — your registered mobile number and an OTP. There is no separate mutual fund user ID or password to remember.

Do I need to activate mutual funds before I can invest?

No manual activation is needed for a new account. Mutual funds activate automatically as part of your Rupeezy KYC — Rupeezy and BSE both verify your documents, which usually takes up to 2 working days (sometimes just one), and mutual funds are ready to use once that clears. See How to activate mutual funds on Rupeezy? for the full timeline.

Things to keep in mind

  • The platform covers searching, investing, redeeming, tracking, and analyzing — the fund house (AMC) still manages the scheme itself and decides its NAV.
  • MF Lab's baskets are for analysis only — building one doesn't place an order or move any money.
  • Every section under Invest sits behind the same login as your trading account, so there is nothing extra to sign up for.
  • Returns shown anywhere on the platform are past performance and are not a promise of future returns.
