How to activate mutual funds on Rupeezy?

You don't need to activate mutual funds on Rupeezy yourself. Completing your one-time Rupeezy KYC — it takes about 5 minutes in the app — opens mutual funds automatically alongside your trading and demat account, once your documents are verified.

Do I need to do anything to activate mutual funds?

No. The same KYC that opens your Rupeezy trading and demat account covers mutual funds too, and filling it out takes about 5 minutes in the app. You don't fill out a second application, sign up again, or tap anything inside the app to switch mutual funds on — tap Explore Mutual Funds once your account is active and it's ready.

How long does activation take?

After you complete KYC, Rupeezy verifies your documents, and BSE — the exchange Rupeezy routes your mutual fund orders through — verifies them too. This usually takes up to 2 working days, and it can clear in a single day. If a document gets rejected during verification, you can resubmit it — it isn't a dead end, just a short delay while the corrected document is checked. There's nothing else you need to do to speed the process up; once verification clears, mutual funds are ready to use.

Things to keep in mind

  • The KYC itself takes about 5 minutes in the app — the wait afterwards is for Rupeezy's and BSE's verification, not anything left for you to fill in.
  • Verification usually takes up to 2 working days; it can clear in just one.
  • If a document gets rejected, you can resubmit it rather than starting over.
  • If it's been noticeably longer than 2 working days since your KYC and mutual funds still aren't available, reach out to Rupeezy support.
