Will I receive dividends on my shares, and where are they credited?

Yes — if you hold the shares on the ex-date, you're eligible for the dividend, and it's paid directly to the primary bank account linked to your Rupeezy account (not to your trading ledger).

Am I eligible for the dividend?

Eligibility is decided by the ex-date. You must be holding the shares as of the ex-date to receive the dividend. If you sell before the ex-date, you won't be eligible; if you hold through it, you will — regardless of when you originally bought.

Where is the dividend credited?

Straight to the primary bank account linked to your account — not your trading balance. So you'll see it in your bank account, not as a credit in your Rupeezy funds/ledger.

How do I check upcoming dividends and ex-dates?

Use the Corporate Action tools in the app (Home → Tools → Corporate Action), or the corporate-action markers on a stock's chart. Each event shows the amount and the ex-date, so you know the cut-off before you act.

Good to know

Dividends and other corporate benefits come from owning the shares — which is what a Delivery trade gives you. An Intraday position doesn't qualify, since it's closed the same day and never held over the ex-date.

Other corporate actions work differently: bonus and split shares are credited to your demat, and a buyback lets you sell shares back to the company at a fixed price.
