If a saved chart layout's name appears in the list but the layout doesn't load, it's because chart layouts are instrument-specific.
Layouts are saved per instrument
When you save a layout on a TradingView chart, it's tied to the specific instrument you were viewing at the time. That layout loads only when you're on that same instrument:
- A layout saved while viewing SBIN will load only on the SBIN chart.
- Open RELIANCE and select the same saved layout, and it won't apply — even though its name still shows in the list.
So seeing the name doesn't mean the layout is available for the stock you're currently on; the name is there, but the saved setup belongs to a different instrument.
What you can do
- Create and save a separate layout for each instrument you trade.
- To reuse a layout, open the same instrument it was saved on.
