I've opened my account — what do I do first?

Welcome to Rupeezy. Once your account is open, here is a simple checklist to get you from a new account to your first trade — and to the things worth knowing along the way.

Your getting-started checklist

  1. Add funds — you need money in your trading account before you can buy. See How do I add funds to my account?. (There is no minimum balance — see Is there a minimum balance required?.)
  2. Understand what it costs — know the charges before you trade so nothing surprises you later. See What charges will I pay, and what does each charge mean?.
  3. Learn the key balances — your ledger balance, available margin and withdrawable balance mean different things. See What do ledger balance, withdrawable balance and available margin mean?.
  4. Pick a product and place your first trade — decide between Intraday, Delivery, MTF and T+5. See Which product should I choose — Intraday, Delivery, MTF or T+5?.
  5. Track and exit your trade — watch your positions and holdings, and close a position when you want. See How to square off on the Rupeezy mobile app.
  6. Withdraw your money — see How do I withdraw funds?. Note that proceeds from selling take a day to settle — see When can I withdraw after selling my shares?.
  7. Explore more — you can also invest in mutual funds and SIPs, apply for IPOs (see How to apply for an IPO on the Rupeezy app), and trade F&O once the segment is activated.
