No — Rupeezy's online (paperless) account opening needs your Aadhaar to be linked to a mobile number, since DigiLocker verification and the final Aadhaar-based e-sign are both completed using an OTP sent to that number.
Why does the online process need an Aadhaar-linked mobile?
Two steps in the online account opening flow rely on Aadhaar OTP verification:
- Basic Client Details & DigiLocker — fetching your Aadhaar and PAN.
- E-Sign & Account Opening — completing your Aadhaar-based e-sign.
If your Aadhaar isn't linked to a mobile number, these OTPs can't be delivered, so the paperless journey can't be completed.
What can I do instead?
Use Rupeezy's offline (physical form) account opening process — download or collect the form, fill it in, and submit it with your documents at a branch or by courier.
Important: Update your mobile number with Aadhaar (via UIDAI) if you'd like to switch to the online process later.
